Silver Mines Recreation Area

Silver Mines offers two camping areas along the St Francis River. The north or east campground occupies the bluff above the river and offers 60+ sites, 11 with electric hookups, and 14 for tent-only camping. The south campground occupies a large open meadow. Group camping for up to 100 people is available. Short trails on both sides of the river provide access to the picnic areas, and from the Turkey Creek Picnic Area the scenic trail leads to Millstream Gardens - a popular put in for kayakers in the spring months.
