Lake of the Ozarks State ParkComprised of over 17,000 acres the Park is the largest in Missouri. The Lake itself was created by Union Electric as a hydroelectric impoundment. In addition to swimming, boating, and fishing, the park offers hiking and equestrian trails and tours of the Ozark Caverns. Log cabins dating to the 1800s, restored and duplicated by CCC company, provide a unique historical interest for park visitors. Blue Herons, turkeys and deer frequent the park.
