Huzzah Conservation Area

Located on the south side of the Meramec River across from Onondaga State Park, the tributaries Huzzah and Courtois Creeks flow the area. Camping is primitive but only adds to the wilderness experience. A section of the Ozark Trail runs through the area.

Canoe rentals are readily available, however only the Meramec offers full season floats. Good for bass and sunfish.

Hunting is permitted and rated good for turkey, squirrel, and deer, and handicapped permits are avialable.
