The Greater St. Louis Area Council of the Boy Scouts developed and maintain the two six mile loops that form a circle around a ridge to honor the naturalist and artist. The camps are located along the road. Hiking, trail biking, and equestrian use is allowed.  Access by Highways T or WW to Bidwell Creek Road marked as Forest Road 2199.
